Bigs - our adult mentors

Our network of caring, enthusiastic adult mentors are building positive relationships with children across the country. Our Bigs are having an impact. They help our Littles to build confidence, achieve their goals, and of course have lots of fun.

Being a Big - volunteering as an adult mentor, is a rewarding and fun opportunity.

A Big is matched with a child aged between 7-12 years in a one-to-one relationship, spending time together once a week, for as long as the child wants.

Research has shown adult mentors can also really benefit from the mentoring relationship. Getting a fresh perspective on life and improving morale are just a few of the advantages being reported.

With our support and training, a Big is creating a friendship that helps a child thrive in life. From going on trips, to trying out new sports, to helping with homework - above all, being a Big is about having fun with a Little.

"I'm forever inspired by my Little's courage and determination... If anything, she's the one who's taught me not to be afraid to try new things and say yes to as many things as possible."
